The Panthers Athletics Foundation Inc ("the Foundation," "we," "us") operates this website to share information about the Foundation and to accept donations and sponsorship inquiries. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site, how it is used, and the choices you have. We keep it short because our data practices are simple. We collect only what is needed to process gifts and respond to messages, and we never sell personal information.

Information you give us

When you use the contact form on this site, we collect the information you enter, which is your name, email address, the topic you select, any sponsorship level you select, and your message. The form submission is delivered to the Foundation's email inbox through Resend, an email delivery service, which processes it under its own privacy policy at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy. We use what you send us to respond to you and for no other purpose. The form also contains a hidden field used only to filter automated spam, which collects nothing from human visitors.

When you contact us by email directly, we receive whatever you choose to include, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message, and we use it the same way.

When you make a donation, your information is collected and processed by our donation platform, Donorbox, and its payment processor, Stripe. Depending on the gift, this typically includes your name, email address, billing address, donation amount, and payment details. Payment card and bank numbers are entered directly with Donorbox and Stripe over encrypted connections. This website never sees, stores, or has access to your card or bank numbers.

How donation information is used

Donation information is used to process your gift, issue tax receipts, manage recurring giving, prevent fraud, and keep required financial records. Donorbox and Stripe process this information under their own privacy policies, available at donorbox.org/privacy and stripe.com/privacy. Recurring donors can manage or cancel their giving at any time through the donor portal linked in their receipt emails, or by emailing us.

Information collected automatically

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like nearly all web hosts, Cloudflare keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. We use this only in aggregate to keep the site working and secure. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and plays videos through Bunny Stream. When your browser requests those resources, your IP address is transmitted to those services, and the embedded video player may set cookies of its own. Their practices are governed by their own policies. This site does not run advertising and does not use advertising trackers.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies of its own. Embedded services described above, such as the donation form and the video player, may set cookies needed for their features to work, such as remembering your donation session. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may affect the donation form.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Information is shared only with the service providers named above so they can perform their functions, or if the law requires it.

Children

The Foundation supports student-athletes, but this website is directed at adults, such as donors, sponsors, and community members. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, email us and we will delete it.

Security and retention

The site is served over HTTPS. Donation processing is handled by Donorbox and Stripe, which maintain industry-standard security and PCI compliance for payment data. We keep donation records as required for tax and accounting purposes, and we keep email correspondence only as long as needed to handle it.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it. You can unsubscribe from any Foundation emails using the link in the email or by writing to us. To make any of these requests, email [email protected].

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
